Emo Zatanna!
Sadly, Mr. Antonio Maldonado will only be working on the first arc of my Totally Awesome Adventures of SuperValleyGirl experiment because he has to finish our kids book I See Monsters. BUT, Mr. Antonio Arevalo will be taking over, and I’m really liking his style. Check out his first attempt at emo Zatanna.
It’s starting to look like I only work with artists named Antonio.

Looks so awesome. I can’t wait for @Womanthology to come out!
This got posted a week or so ago to the Womanthology special pledgers tumblr, so I figure I can post it here now. This is OmniGirl, the titular heroine from Lauren Burke and my Womanthology comic, ‘I’m Not OmniGirl!’ Ironically OmniGirl herself has maybe 2 lines of dialog.
I pretty much drew this to figure out her pose (she’s in a milk ad in panel 1 of the comic!) but then figured it would be fun to ink it and use it as an excuse to figure out colors for her costume (though I ended up making everything more vivid for the actual pages). It also doesn’t quite match with the slightly cartoonier style in the actual comic pages, but whatever man, she’s cute!
aaaaand speaking of, I finally finished the colors for the actual pages!! Now someone else has to deal with the lettering ahahahaha. I can’t wait to see the finished book and everyone else’s comics, everything I’ve seen from other contributors so far looks so great!!
